Obama: Guantanamo Must be Closed

President of the United States (U.S.), Barack Obama promised to close the Guantanamo prison. Obama's call for Guantanamo damage the U.S. image in the world. 

"Prison Guantano not in accordance with U.S. identity,
" Obama said, as quoted by the BBC on Wednesday (05/01/2013).

"Prison is damaging our position in the international world. Terrorists also use stories about Guantanamo prison to recruit members, "he continued.

Obama's statement came amid Guantanamo detainees on hunger strike. Several prisoners are in poor condition so it was force-fed by prison pertugas .

"I do not want them killed. I agree prison officials forcibly feed them, "said Obama.

Previously, Obama has never tried to close the Guantanamo prison. But his efforts failed after being rejected by the U.S. Congress.
