Iran Presidential Election Threatened by Sabotage

Iran's implementation of a new presidential election will take place in June. However, some signs of sabotage threat has begun to unfold. 


One of the Iranian election sabotage plan was evidenced from the arrest of several people associated with the group Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO). Group of Iranians who want a change in the State Paramullah was allegedly about to plan a sabotage of the electoral process.

"They are associated with the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO), was arrested on charges of causing mayhem missions during the presidential election process," the Iranian official said the unknown, as quoted by Fars News Agency, on Friday (05/24/2013).

Some of those arrested were in them had been imprisoned on similar charges. Two of the arrested, entered Iranian territory with the purpose of regulating their agents working inside Iran.

Founded in 1960, the MKO is a Marxist guerrilla group that was behind several terrorist operations in Iran and Iraq. One of the brutal acts committed by the MKO is the bombing of the Islamic Republican Party office in Iran in 1981 ago. The attack killed 72 citizens of Iran.

MKO group intend to chaos in Iran Election June 14. At the time of the election, millions of Iranians will decide its new leader to replace President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who was not able to run again.
