Al-Aqsa Mosque Attacked, U.S. Hold Ask Yourself

The United States (U.S.) has urged Israelis and Palestinians to refrain immediately after the emergence of incident assault on Al-Aqsa Mosque , Jerusalem. The U.S. also commented on the detention of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem. 



"We are concerned with the tensions in the Haram al-Sharif, including containment Grand Mufti is today," said a spokeswoman for the U.S. State Department Patrick Ventrell, as quoted by AFP on Thursday (05/09/2013).

"We understand that he's been released, but we still urge all parties to respect the status quo against this holy place, and to refrain from provocative actions," he added.

Israeli police detained Mufti Mohammed Hussein on charges of "inciting riots" in the Al-Aqsa Mosque just as Israel celebrates Jerusalem Day. Hussein must be escorted by detectives Israel from his home to the police station.

"Some of the chairs were thrown in the direction of the Jewish people in the Haram al-Sharif (when the riots took place)," said Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld.

As is known, the incidence of attack Al-Aqsa Mosque is an incitement pro-Zionist settlers in Israel. Palestinians call for protection in the area immediately around the holy mosque.

"Jewish extremists intend to carry out a similar scenario at Masjid Ibrahim al Khalil. We urge all Palestinians to oppose the provocative action by blockade around the Al-Aqsa," said the Committee Battalion Chief Palestinian Khaled al-Hasani.

Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has also commented on the incident. OIC directly asserted, Israel is the party responsible for the attack.
