Taiwan Warship The Target of Anti-Submarine Aircraft

Taiwan warship assigned to protect fishing boats in the Nansha Islands, it has become the target of anti-submarine aircraft of the United States (U.S.). This incident raises a presumption regarding the existence of a dispute between the two countries. 


As reported by Taiwan's Liberty Times, Wednesday (06/05/2013), the ship was sailing to Taiwan fighter off Taiping Beach on May 25. They sailed to complete the mission logistics, but on the way, they staked out by P-3C ASW aircraft belonging to the U.S..

P-3C ASW squadron joined in the anti-US submarine based in Anderson Base, Guam. According to Taiwan media reports, the P-3C ASW aircraft circling Taiwan warship. Aircraft flying at low altitude rose.

Taiwan Navy's claim, there is no feud between the country and the land of Uncle Sam. The plane was flying high and very far away from Taiwan warship. They had already reported the matter to the Ministry of Defence Taiwan.

However, the media in Taiwan assume that there is a feud going on between Taipei and Washington over the South China Sea dispute. In mid May, Taiwan warship confronted also with boat T-AGM-23 belonging to the U.S.. In that event, the U.S. seems to want to convey the message directly to Taiwan.

So far, the Government of Taiwan expressed the same opinion with the military. They also denied media speculation over a dispute with the U.S. country. Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated that the U.S. and Taiwan relations never change and always good.
