Hassan Rouhani wins Iranian presidential election

Moderate cleric Hassan Rouhani won the Iranian presidential election this year. Rouhani managed to win after gaining more than 50 percent.


"With the achievement of 18.6 million votes, or 50.68 percent, Rouhani undisputed win elections (President of Iran)," said Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar, as quoted by Sky News.

As a moderate cleric, Rouhani got a big boost from the Iranian people who want change. Rouhani victory can not be separated from the withdrawal of candidates from other Iranian reformist Mohammad Reza Aref.

Figures behind the man graduated Glasgow Caledonian University is not small. Rouhani supported by former Iranian President Mohammad Khatami and Akbar as Hashemi Rafsanjani.
