Jordan Not Support U.S. Syria Attack


Jordan asserted, they oppose the use of military force against Syria. Jordan ready to seek a political solution to resolve the internal conflict in the neighboring country without using violence. 

Exactly last Friday, King Abdullah II met with President
of the United States (U.S.), Barack Obama to discuss the issue of Syria. At the same time, the Kingdom of Jordan insists, they do not want the U.S. military to resolve the issue.

"Jordan, against the U.S. military existence in the land of Syria," said one Jordanian official who declined to give his name, as quoted by the Jordan Times, Sunday (04/28/2013).

So far, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has accused Jordan became a facilitator of weapons to the Syrian opposition. But Jordan dismissed the report, saying that Jordan only monitor the border with Syria.

Jordan also supports political dialogue at various parties to Syria, including the U.S. and Russia is dialogue. It was solely intended to stop the bloodshed in Syria.

"Syria crisis should not be ignored because it will create the Cold War. Should be no reason for us all, including the U.S., Europe and Russia for the present, to solve this problem," he added.

"The U.S. must show leadership in the global arena, starting from the Syrian crisis could lead to a result of its own for Jordan," the Jordanian official said.

As we all know, Jordan is home to half a million Syrian refugees who have fled civil war in his country. United Nations (UN) predicts, the number of refugees in the country will be growing because of the crisis Syria continues to heat up lately.
