"People will question his ability (Najib), he may be dropped as Abdullah (Badawi)," said Mahathir.
Abdullah was the prime minister Najib predecessor. He was demoted from his position after camp authorities received poor results in the 2008 election.
Najib election results were actually getting worse than Abdullah. At that time Abdullah won 140 seats out of 222 contested seats. While Najib could only get 133 seats.
"The regime will fall if Najib authorities lowered. Anwar is waiting to launch political attacks, "said another Malaysian political analyst, Mustafa Ishak.
